Fall TV Schedule

cute-TVI’ve mentioned before what a TV junkie I am and last week I was in heaven. Every May, the networks release their fall/winter schedules and what tv pilots have been chosen to air and what shows will be cancelled.  That event is called the Upfronts. During the week, each network is given a day to update and share the information. Most of the shows listed on the new schedule I’ve been watching, some for a few years now and will continue to watch, others I might have started watching, but since I’ve become bored with and stop. I try and watch the majority of the fall pilots, but sadly, the last few years I haven’t been impressed. We will see what’s in store for the new season. I am excited about a couple shows such as the Prison Break reboot and This is Us starring Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia. TVline.com has released a full schedule at their site. The link is here.  As of right now, behind the cut is my schedule for fall television:

Microblog Mondays

Microblog Mondays #3

Today’s Microblog Mondays is about one of my all time favorite tv shows, The OC which aired on FOX 2003-2007.  The series centers around Ryan Atwood, a guy from the wrong side of the tracks, after being adopted by the wealthy Sandy Cohen, ends up living and mixing with the rich citizens of Orange County, California.

I remember falling in love with this show and its’ star Benjamin McKenzie at first glance. It’s premiering today on POPtv from the beginning. Here’s your chance to move in to the pool house and find out what Chrismukkah, the Fab Four and indie music is all about.

Check POPtv for the times it airs in your town.

I Am A TV Junkie

Seriously, though, my whole life, from as far back as I can remember, I would sit in front of the TV, excited to watch my favorite shows. As I entered my twenties, teen shows such as Beverly Hills 90210 entered the scene. It was the first time I remember falling in love and rooting for a couple (Brenda/Dylan all the way!) and thus, my love of TV exploded to a whole new deeper level. Then, a show about aliens in a high school aired and my life as I knew it was over. That show was Roswell. It premiered October 6, 1999 and within the first 5 minutes of the Pilot episode airing my life changed. I would rush home to video tape the episodes, spend hours upon hours on Ebay trying to win memorabilia from the show, attend Roswell conventions in Los Angeles and spend hours on blog forums chatting with fellow show Dreamers and Candygirls just like myself.

Flash forward and my life hasn’t changed much. Now, with the evolved use of the DVR, so many shows are recorded and watched at a later time. Each year, I check out all the new pilots and figure out which ones to add to my schedule. It’s a strange and wonderful feeling and experience I share with my mother. I really have her to thank for the many blessings watching television has brought me. From meeting the most amazing people in this world, to meeting celebrities, life really has been one amazing TV roller coaster of twists and turns.

Here is a list of the shows I’m currently watching. If you have any questions, want reviews or just want to chat about any of them, shoot me an email or post in the comments! I’d love to connect with others who watch the same shows I do. More to be added later. Yes, I am a TV Junkie!!
